JEDDAH

Arsamco was established in 1405 AH corresponding to 1985 CE, for the purpose of providing electrical, and mechanical maintenance services. The first projects won at the Jeddah Head Office were primarily contracted from individuals and private homeowners in order to obtain access to the then Ministry of Phone, Telephone and Telegraph's (PTT) telecommunications network. After a few years of providing exemplary service the establishment was qualified to bid on subcontractor contracts for PTT projects.

The establishment grew in experience and scope until it was officially registered to bid as a main contractor in Jeddah. The establishment was then transferred from an establishment to a company in 11/9/1420H (December 1999) when Hariri family partnered with Moomena family to raise capital and knowledge share. The company was then renamed Arabian Spare Parts and Maintenance Company (ARSAMCO). Eng. Moomena brought 12 years substantial experience in the PTT to the partnership by way of his previous career in various departments.

He was responsible for overseeing projects involving outside planning, network engineering, telephone exchange and switching, as well as overall system maintenance.

The PTT became the Saudi Telephone Company (STC), a privately held company by way of government decree. The STC has since actively pursued improving and expanding services to keep pace with the growing demands of the public.

In 2007, ARSAMCO was acquired by Mohammed Yusuf Naghi and has become part of M. Y. Naghi group of his companies. M. Y. Naghi group has diverse business activities which include, exclusive agent in Saudi Arabia for BMW AG and Hyundai (Western Region), Hafil ( A transport company with more than 6000 Buses), Arabian Food Supply (AFS), and United Naghi ( Phillips, LG ) .

The STC has approved ARSAMCO to bid on projects in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia, a service territory of over 1000 kilometers in distance. ARSAMCO has implemented projects in Tabuk, Makkah, Medina, Taif and throughout Jeddah. The company has also grown to provide other services including, Wastewater Management as well as distribution of German automotive spare parts.
